Envision Management Consultants won two prestigious awards at the recent National Procurement Awards in Dublin. The two winning categories were ‘SME Procurement Excellence’ and ‘Public Sector Procurement & SME Collaboration’.
The two awards recognised the success of a recent tendering capability development programme, designed by Envision – The Win More Business – Procurement Development Programme.
The programme was funded by the European Sustainable Competitiveness Programme, Invest Northern Ireland and 7 local councils (Antrim Borough Council in partnership with Carrickfergus, Coleraine, Ballymena, Larne, Moyle and Newtownabbey).
The successful collaboration helped 64 micro/SMEs develop the tendering skills necessary to be successful in future public procurement competitions with a number of participating companies already reporting success to the value of £4.3m.
Programme Manager, Elaine Scullion (Envision) said that the awards were recognition that Envision’s approach to capability development, particularly in relation to public sector tendering, is highly effective:
‘The programme is a shining example of how tendering capability development, which is tailored to the needs of participants, can fundamentally change the way they approach the tendering process to significantly improve win rate and effectively help them to ‘Win More Business’’
Envision has been at the forefront of tender skills development across Ireland for the last 10 years and in that time has worked with companies of all sizes and across a range of industry sectors. In the last 5 years Envision has supported companies to win new tenders to the value of approximately £11m.
Alastair Law, Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council said the participating councils and other funders couldn’t be happier with the programme and the award wins:
‘The Win More Business Programme has been a resounding success for all participating councils, Invest Northern Ireland, Envision and not least the 64 companies who participated in it. The programme’s success is due, in no small part, to the Envision Team who has been at our shoulder every step of the way providing excellent programme management as well as innovative capability development design – a crucial combination for the success of any business development programme’.
